Shaun Roberts was the promoter of Fabric nightclub for many years. An affable, fun-loving, big hearted man who was instrumental in so many DJ careers, including my own, starting me off in room 3 of Fabric and eventually giving @lucylyrics and I the whole club for our AMP parties. I’ll never forget the buzz of seeing our logo projected on the stairwell of Fabric. Shaun took so much pride in what he did, a master collaborator and a genuine music obsessive, living for the events he ran. He was the man who helped me and @naomishimada have our joint birthday party at Fabric, who stood nearby with a grin on his face as my own father made a speech from the booth in room 3. He took the first ever photo of my husband @toddlat and I together in room 1 in Fabric. We have shared so many memories and alongside so many other DJs and friends who are leaving their thoughts today, I feel very glad to have known him and am gutted that he has gone so soon. I’m so grateful to him for giving me a chance and for his unerring kindness and upliftment through the years. This was his last message. Sent on December 13.
