I don’t always feel empowered when I see photos of myself like this. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ There can be a lot of self loathing, wishing I had different genes, and time spent hurling nasty comments at myself. ⁣⁣ ⁣ Of course it’s hard to see the beauty in something society labels as unbecoming. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So, I’m training myself to go against the grain; to think differently. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Because those who swim upstream will always come out stronger than those who merely go with the current.⁣
