My first Mother’s Day was too perfect. I got fresh cut lilacs and Nora picked dandelions. We spent the day at the park with my mom, my sister, her baby Frankie and all our lovely husbands. I fall further in love with my sweet girl everyday, and the more I love her the more I love my own mom who has done a fantastic job leading me and my sister into motherhood. Watching Nora with her More Mommy makes me feel like I’m just a little blip in a long history of mothers and daughters and grandmothers, like time is stretching out and collapsing around the three of us.
