I was lucky enough to call Shaun Roberts a friend for almost 20 years, from the days of when he would look after us at @fabriclondonofficial whenever we played (where he'd make you feel very much at home), to when we worked together closely in 2014 when he personally asked me to contribute to the FabricLive mix series, right through to the last few years in which we saw him fiercely battling cancer. In those later years, he was using his voice to raise awareness to bowel cancer as well as selflessly offering his time to help others who felt they themselves may have symptoms. I lost another close friend to cancer 12 years ago, they were also at an age far too young to die. Their resilience and dignity during those times struck me then and will stay with me forever. My thoughts are with Shaun's family and friends, of which there are so many. We love you and we will miss you, thank you for being such a shining light for us all. Rest in peace.
