It's scary to think that in less than a month I'll be living a new life in LA. I thought NYC would be home forever, and I keep saying that covid changed NYC - but I think more realistically, covid changed me. I figured out that I'm allowed to live slower, and that I don't need to be out 6 nights a week. I wouldn't give up the time that I spent doing that for anything, and simultaneously I feel like I don't need to continue to spend my energy that way. That I can do my art in a softer environment, in softer weather. Under a palm tree that's not native to the region. In a superimposed fake city that's almost like an amusement park in design. That I want to own a bigger couch and have more space to myself. I'm so proud to have made what I made in NYC and I'm not leaving forever, just for the time being.
