Two years ago this very day, we were experiencing the height of the pandemic. At that time, I decided to open a PO Box, advertising that people could write me and I would write them back. It was a shot in the dark and I just wanted to be an open door for anyone who needed it. I received hundreds of letters from all over the world by people of all ages. Some letters were heartbreakingly beautiful. Many were folks sharing what they were going through. Some were words of encouragement and fun, a few jokes and recipes, and my favorite were letters and drawings from children. I’ve decided to open a new PO Box again.
