The GOAT @serenawilliams last night... Black Women and Black Girls face a world that will always challenge or question their self confidence. Even being the Greatest of All Time, it is “surprising” to others when Black women have an unshakeable belief in themselves. We’ve seen the criticisms of Serena and Venus throughout their careers. Most of which are related to their audacity to be so confident in themselves and their abilities. We love the way @serenawilliams answered and handled that question last night. It reminded us of a clip from an interview with @venuswilliams as a child and their father interrupted a reporter who was so taken back by her confidence that he tried to challenge it. Tribe, make sure we do everything possible to speak life and instill confidence in our Black girls and boys so that they grow up with it and can stay firm in that self confidence even when the world tries to challenge it.
