Our film Creation Theory is now live online! This thought provoking film on creativity and flow state features an incredible original soundtrack by @gothbabemusic, insane cold water surfing by @petedevries and artistry on the snow with @elenahight and @robinvangyn. Thank you to the director and writer @sturgegram for bringing me on board to help you bring this project to life - I’m always in awe of your unique approach to filmmaking! The magic is found in those subtleties and ineffable details. Thanks to @sweenyj @jurgiewatts3000 @basebuildben and everyone at @arcteryx for trusting us with such a cosmic idea of a film. A huge shoutout to @ellithor @lukabees @natelav @aidenhaley @haukursigurdsson @ktstj and everyone else who helped make this film a reality. I was brought onto the project as a creative director and cinematographer, but couldn’t resist snapping a few photos along the way, so here are a few moments during our five weeks in the ruggedly beautiful and windy place that is Iceland. The fifth image was shot by @ellithor, after another cold swim filming Pete in the 34 degree waves of the Atlantic. I’m wearing a 2mm @patagonia_surf impact vest over an R5 6.5/5mm wetsuit over a 2mm short John, along with R5 mittens and booties.... brrr. I filmed all the water footage with a compact rig - a @sonyalpha A7SIII and 50mm 1.2 GM lens in a @saltysurfhousings waterhousing.
