Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was convicted of assault and weapons offenses in the shooting of rap star Megan Thee Stallion after an alcohol-fueled Hollywood party in 2020. He could now spend more than 20 years in a California prison. The singer, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was charged with assault, illegal weapons possession and negligent discharge of a firearm after prosecutors said he fired five shots at the "Savage" rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete.
