The Mescaleros began their Streetcore recording sessions in February 2002, and “Get Down Moses” was one of the songs to come out of these early demos. During the band’s week-long residency at St Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn in April 2002 they debuted “Get Down Moses” in their live set.
