A few of my favorite moments from last week’s inaugural Now Awards dinner ♥️ For the Now Awards, @them had the honor of celebrating 12 leaders across culture, from activism to literature to nightlife—all people who are finding ways forward in systems that are stacked against them and dreaming up new possibilities of living and creating and caring for each other. With this package, we wanted to go beyond the typical faces that often show up on lists to focus on people from all over the country whose work is truly inspiring us. I’m really proud of what we made. Our brilliant awardees came from as far as Alaska and sent in video messages from as far as Kyiv. It was such a joy and privilege to host and hear from them. I’m still processing how special and moving the energy and conversations in the room were. Thank you so much to our honorees for the work that you do, and for taking the time to receive this award. And thank you, most of all, to my amazing team who put so much care and intention into this initiative and the beautiful profiles behind it.
