We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of fashion designer Issey Miyake, aged 84. The Japanese style maverick was famed for his fabric innovation and cult fragrances that remain iconic to this day. Founder of the brand, Issey Miyake opened his design studio in 1970 and was one of the first Japanese designers to show in Paris. His designs have always been synonymous with innovation, colour and practicality for both men and women. In a statement, the house said: “His spirit of joy, empowerment and beauty will be carried on by the next generations.” Issey Miyake leaves behind a lasting style legacy.
