You had this expectation of your clientās cut/color in your head. You start to blow dry their hair and itās just not looking the way you wanted it to. You start to fall down that rabbit hole of omg sheās not going to like it. I screwed it all up. Now I have to go back and tone it and your next client is already waiting. BUT.. you havenāt even gotten her reaction yet.
So now. She seems happy. But sheās not jumping out of her chair, but you start to put YOUR insecurities about this color on your client.
Now.. you start your check out conversation or better yet .....you start your slow stroll toward the desk. And with every step to the desk or every word in your mind you went from $200 to $185.., nah. Letās do $150. No way thatās to low. Letās go $165 yeah that sounds good. š EVEN though you talked PRICE in consultation you talked yourself out of it.
This is where your confidence comes in. Pricing on facts and not emotion. Having your target price per minute in mind and target your price per hour. When you operate your business from that space. You donāt question your prices based on RESULTS. Of course you have to DELIVER. But Donāt assume your client isnāt happy just because sheās isnāt jumping for joy. Charge for your time , product, and VALUE. And be sure to follow up with your clients within 48 hours of their service and take it from there.
