Thank you @danya.issawi and @thecut for the thoughtful interview on your “Minding our Business” column, sharing how Entrepreneurs got their start. I frequently reference the quote that ‘you can never connect the dots looking forward, only looking back.’ Every company move, connection, and relationship I’ve made in my career has helped to give me the necessary building blocks and experience to get me to where I am today—and I am beyond grateful for every opportunity I’ve had. I started @dreamday.la as a solo Entrepeneur with imposter syndrome three years ago and can’t help but to have a pinch me moment of the amazing team, clients, and surrounding support I have been blessed to have on my side and work with every day. I can’t imagine if I hadn’t taken that leap, which also led to co-founding an incredible passion-project-turned-lucrative-business, @thequalityedit, a year later. A lot of hustle and hard work later, it’s amazing to start to have our work recognized and be building businesses that not only put our unique stamp on the world, but combine areas I’m passionate and excited about every day. Despite the countless trade-offs that come with being a working mom, I hope I serve as a role model for my kids to believe in yourself and follow your gut.
