Today Abdul and I alongside dozens of other advocates testified before the Detroit City Council to cancel the ShotSpotter contract, technology that does not prevent crime or assist in crime prevention. The vote on the expansion is delayed. They did however continue to existing contract today for almost another year which is disappointing. We are back at it next week to do this again.
