I’m always somewhat relieved to be out of the US around the 4th of July but this year especially in the face of so many profound setbacks to what I consider the essential civil rights and liberties promised by the so-called long arc of the moral universe, ostensibly bending toward justice ... “Don’t go back!” my international friends tell me. But now more than ever justice-minded Americans are needed, right? It’s hard to face, but we go on. And finding this amazing piece by @glennligon in a beautiful museum in Nîmes reminds me of the importance of critical but committed perspectives ... 🖤❤️‍🩹🖤
