As we rolled through Wyoming, we boondocked outside of Laramie, an artsy college town in the Southeastern corner of the state. Throughout the day we were dodging thunderstorms that seemed to keep coming and coming. However, we did see some gorgeous cloud formations like rare mammatus clouds and inevitably a few rainbows. The next morning, we woke up at sunrise to take the scenic drive up into the mountains, along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway. On the way to Medicine Bow Peak, situated at over 12,000ft, we passed moose, pronghorns, wildflowers, and several high elevation lakes- including Marie Lake. We would’ve loved to spend more time here, but now we have plenty to explore next time we roll through Wyoming.
