Last week 32 riders gathered in Strasbourg to set off on this year’s One More City ride. Four days and 600k later, having ridden along remote, scenic roads and through the fairytale Black Forest in all its autumnal glory, the team arrived at @rapha_munich. It was many members' longest ride ever, but the camaraderie of the groups kept everyone moving, even when the rain arrived on day three as they crossed into Austria. @onemorecity_ldn was founded by RCC member Christine O’Connell (@clondon7), and every year sees riders journey between two cities in support of secondary breast cancer research. The campaign has a simple ethos: the journey is never over; we are always progressing towards the next city, there are always more kilometres to do, more climbs to conquer and more challenges to face. This is akin to the reality of anyone living with cancer, especially secondary cancer, for whom the challenge is never over; there are always more treatments to endure, more scans to face, more side effects to manage. One More City will be back on the road for more multi-day challenges in San Francisco, Taipei and Singapore.
