my 69yr old mother took this photo of the sunrise out her bedroom window (so you know it’s unaltered) and apparently she takes photos like this all the time and i don’t know, it makes me love her even more. we watched the sunset together tonight, you know the ones with cotton candy clouds and we were both amazed at how quickly it was over. i felt in that moment the fleeting nature of beauty, but realized if i think like that i’ll miss the point of beauty entirely.
