a love letter for my community, the artists & creators, and those who stayed 🫶🏽 we’ve heard the same strategy. regurgitated over & over. to grow an audience: - post consistently. - keep it short. - our attention spans won’t make it past 3 seconds. prioritize only what performs best for the highest views & engagement. but what if that’s not the goal? what if the goal is to create something and share it with people who want to see it? i put a piece of myself into this and I’m trusting you with it. not everyone, but you. because you’re patient. & you’re kind. and even though I was gone for a while, you’re still here. im not creating for an algorithm that tells me how to be for everyone. you are not built for everyone. you are unique. you are layered. you are more than: the hashtags. the trending sounds. when you post. how many times you post. start creating for the purpose of creating and the right people will find you... not the most people, but the right people. the people who will be inspired by it. the people who’s days change because of it. they will find it. because what’s the worst that can happen? you can look back one day and be happy about all the things that you’ve made how it lit you up even at the darkest times & maybe even the powerful impact your story had through the simple art of creation 🎨💫
