Today is a solemn day in the US, and in the history of Democracy. On this day 21 years ago the idea that we are born free and have the power to choose and make our own destiny was attacked. Thousands have died that day and thereafter, we must never forget that what separates us is only ideas of paths of how best to achieve the same goal we all share. The pursuit of happiness, prosperity and peace. Selflessness and the ability to see our fellow humans as family not enemies is what we need now more then ever. The lesson today we should take away is optimism and the shining light of the future of possibility is better then harboring hate for one another because we carry different ideas. We are stronger when we do not let political figures divide us by their rhetoric, they are the true dividers, not citizens. They do this to achieve power within both parties in the US and nothing else. Your neighbor does not hate you, and I for one want to live in a world where we debate and not censor anymore.
