Berlin has a lot of beautiful neoclassical buildings, but the glass dome on top of the Reichstag building, which houses the Bundestag, the lower house of Germany’s parliament, stands out. In addition to making a statement, the dome designed by Norman Foster shows Germany’s commitment to clean energy. The dome lets natural light into the Bundestag chamber, and the large solar panel array on its roof makes the building even less reliant on outside power sources.
