Filipino Magic Post! 🇵🇭 💫 Very excited that @jokoy’s Filipino family comedy #EasterSunday will be in theaters august 5th! I have nothing to do with this film, and I don’t know #jokoy, but I’m very happy that this film exists! Growing up the only Filipino actor I saw on TV was motha fuggin RUFFIO in Hook! (shout out to #dantebasco!) and it warms my heart to see more and more Filipino actors on screen and I care very deeply about representing them well when I’m doin MY thing. Easter Sunday will show an entire Filipino family, and I can’t express to you enough how Fun and FUNNY Filipino families are, (something I’m constantly trying to explain in pitches!) So while I haven’t seen the film, I can’t wait to watch it, and I’m grateful that this film has been made, and for Jokoy’s persistence, talent and success to help pave so much of the way! 1.
