Reaching the summit of Spantik Peak in bad weather and deep snow was one of the toughest challenges of my life. Our summit push included a 50hr period where we slept just two hours at 6,100m in freezing temperatures (sharing a sleeping bag with @off_the_atlas ). Our final summit push day began at 9pm as we hiked through the night in heavy snow before pushing up to reach Spantik Peak (finally) at 1pm the next day amidst a blizzard. We then began our descent to camp 3, slept and descended all the way back to base camp during a long, arduous trek the following day. With no time to rest we hiked 42km back across the glacier over the next two days. Fatigue, adrenaline, sunburn, aches, pride, enthusiasm, exhaustion. We made it ✌🏽 #Spantik #Pakistan .
