Hi all! I can’t wait to post about all the fun I’ve been having performing Rachel Portman’s The Little Prince, but I’d be remiss not to acknowledge the passing my dear Grandmother...... Today we laid Alice Tyson, affectionately known as Mawmaw, to rest. Mawmaw meant the world to me, because she didn’t just speak of her love, she showed it EVERY time we were together. From our frequent shopping trips together( her favorite activity😂) to our phone calls where I would vent and she would reassure me that whatever I was going through was in the Lord’s hands. She made me laugh like no other and always went to great lengths to give me SOMETHING. She was the epitome of generosity and service coupled with a quick wit and a get-in-your-behind kind of directness. Though I am so grateful she no longer has to endure dialysis treatment and frequent hospitalization, the heaviness in my heart shows me just how much she meant to me. I’d give anything to take her to the store and spend a day together again. Thanking God that this isn’t goodbye, but see ya later🥲. I am eternally grateful that I was able to attend her service today. So much love to my Utah Opera family for supporting me through this difficult time! To lose all 3 of my grandparents in a 7 month span has been quite a ride, so please if you are the praying type, keep me lifted up. Thoughts, good vibes, love are also appreciated.
