Attempting to polish my nails the Brazilian way! 😅 Read more below! ⬇️ For those who don’t know, in a Brazilian manicure they make sure the entire nail is fully covered in polish, even if it means flooding the skin in the process. Then they go in with an orangewood stick both with, and without, a piece of cotton soaked in acetone to clean up the skin. This differs from the popular way we do it here, which is to avoid flooding the skin by leaving a small gap at the cuticle line, and to use a cleanup brush dipped in acetone to clean up any mistakes. The two methods can be pretty polarizing. Some people hate that we leave the gaps in an America mani, and then we tend to feel that the Brazilian method is messy and a lot of unnecessary work.
