Year 1: The year I put school on hold and went to NYC for the first time ever to make my dreams come true. I also decided if I could, I’d never do another model apartment. • 2: My first show at the tents. I was shaking so much I thought surely the front row could see. The year I got my own NYC apartment and paid for it myself. • 3: Josh had moved to nyc by this point and I had given runway another chance after a few sht seasons. From this show I met my girl, @blancapadilla 🤎 • 4: An amazing work year... This shoot was with a dream client of mine. The owner of the mansion however (not related to the shoot) was an asshole and kept the pool ice cold for the shoot. I peed in it after I was done my take in protest of his assholeness. No one knew😬 • 5: The year I joined my model mafia family and became passionate about sustainability and changing the industry from within. I founded @ondutycitizen 🌿 • 6: After 7 years together, we finally got engaged. One of my happiest moments. • 7: MARRIED AF. Damn that was fun. Oh also the year josh moved back to TO for work a month before our wedding. Nothing we can’t get through. Literally. 😅😅 Many cool jobs synonymous with my passion for sustainability. And many sad days.. the year things felt off and I started to notice feeling sad more often than not. • 8: COVID. I was the shitty New Yorker who left (sry!!) but would sometimes pop in to appease my prince st pizza cravings. It felt so weird. Like a dystopian world. Very little work. Lots of time for personal introspection. And back to school after 10 yrs🥵 • 9: More visits to nyc but not without a shit ton of bad news. Mental health was put to the upmost of tests. It was like life said, HERE, let’s see how you deal with THIS!!! Therapists were booked. I gained a lot of strength and perspective. Hard. But nothing I would change. • 10: The year I took control over a lot of situations that felt uncontrollable. I gained back my inner light. I started to thrive in New York again. Back to long distance but nothing josh and I can’t handle. Ain’t no thang. • Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. 10 insane years in this seductive melting pot. Wow.
