I am so so so proud of how my mural turned out. This was an emotional painting for me, as I was painting I felt so thankful that I have my abilities and talents and am able to create works of art that mean something. I felt like crying when I saw it all come together. I’ve spent many hours out in the sun painting and reflecting on how much this piece means to me and how much it will mean to so many others. Native women and children are being taken at an alarming rate. Native American women are murdered at a rate that is more than ten times the national rate.
