A look of curiosity? A look of wonder? Love? Joy? Calm? The only light in this image is coming from a candle at the end of a havdalah service at Temple. I looked to my left and saw the profile this sweet little girl looking up at the candle and I was instantly enraptured. An island of innocence amidst a world of judgement and division. May 2023 bring a little more care and understanding from us all. Let’s allow in more light to drown away just a bit of the darkness.
