When it comes down to what I’ve always wanted and longed for - it’s a family of my own. 🤍 There is nothing wrong with big dreams or achieving things in life but what I’ve realized recently is how easy it is to let those goals and ambitions distract you from the things and the people that matter most. I’ve felt a nudge recently to pull back and be more mindful about how I spend my time and where my attention goes because as mothers we all know that our capacity simply looks different than it did before. I’m learning that packing my calendar or to do list to the brim isn’t what helps me love my family well and that there are some dreams that will have to sit on the shelf a little bit longer or may be something that I will have to release entirely. All I know is that this rushed hustle culture that many of us have been subscribing to isn’t sustainable and I’m starting to see why a more simple, mindful, slow pace of life can be so fruitful for not only the mom but also the entire family.
