Nobody cares, nobody is coming, and nobody wants to hear about it. The sooner we realize this, the sooner life starts to work for us instead of against us. Want to get your health in order? Do it. Stop living in the narrative and implement some discipline. Want to have career success? Get to work and focus. Stop waiting for someone to come along and hand it to you. Want a great relationship? Be someone worth chasing and someone worth being with. Want to change your life? Take ownership. Over all of it. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Be grateful for all of it. Even the bad stuff. Most of all the bad stuff. Once we realize that we are the ones in control of our lives and every outcome in that life, that’s when we become truly powerful. The greatest tragedy in life would be to reach the end wondering why help never came and not realizing that it was always there within yourself.
