Sometimes what we do feels like archaeology, researching how something would have looked originally and trying to get back to that without erasing its history. This 1965 Ferrari 275GTB is a good example, bought as a recently restored car done with good intentions by various small French shops but a long way from home and on behalf of an enthusiastic owner who probably didn’t pay a lot for it back in ‘78. The good news is that all the bits are still original- it’s great when you find untouched factory numbers stamped in hidden places- but if you want to preserve it for the next 50 years and beyond, it’s worth spending time getting it right. The old Scaglietti colour swatch in pic 4 shows the original paint shade- Verde Scuro- and the original beige leather and cloth interior is going back in. The new manager of the Carrozzeria we’re in is the modest young man with glasses in the last pic and his name, of course, is Enzo. His great-grandfather’s company built the car so we’re probably in good hands 🙌
