Today @nytimes released an article written by Nicole Sperling that addresses the progressive loss of global movie stars: household names that transcend language and borders, stars that disrupt generational differences and hold massive broad appeal. This, says Sperling, is no longer the case with most current Hollywood actors, who, closely tied to specific franchises or a superhero film, have yet to gain that global, multigenerational appeal.
