I usually don’t write long blurbs to accompany something like this, but the end of one of these parts of my life is worthy of a meaningful message. First to Valpo Unified: I joined the program on a whim not really knowing anyone on the team and not knowing what half of the events even were. After that first year I became hooked and knew my commitment to athletics would be through competing in Unified as a relay runner. 3 state podiums later despite scoring errors in multiple years, I would not have wanted to spend my springs any other way and the family of Unified has motivated me to improve with every opportunity I get for a purpose much greater than myself. The future of this team is super bright and I’m excited to see how the new leadership continues the success of a program built on passion, integrity, and inclusion. A hard goodbye, but J2 out, go get the big one next year🤟 And then to Graduation: Learned a lotta good, learned a lotta bad, we finally outa here🥱
