The ‘blanket babies’ treat waking up as a group project. First, little Nyambeni waits outside Mzinga’s stable, then both girls link up with Shujaa and their other friends. Mzinga (bringing up the rear) is very slow in the morning, so Nyambeni generously hangs back and walks at her own pace. As we see time and again, friendships formed at the Nursery can last a lifetime. Someday, Nyambeni and Mzinga will be grown up and living wild, perhaps raising their own families side by side.
