5 tips to optimize your health with better sleep
Tip 5:
Consistency is Key!
Go to sleep and wake up at the same time each and every day. Even on the weekends! This allows you to set up an internal alarm, so your body knows when to sleep and when to wake!

Darkness counts!
Make sure your bedroom is your oasis- quiet, relaxing but especially dark! Banish the electronics! We know it’s difficult, but stop the scroll 90 minutes before you plan to sleep. We promise, you’ll thank us for this one.

Limit the caffeine
According to a recent study by PubMed Central, 90% of the population consumes caffeine. We get it. We love our coffee too! On average for most, caffeine’s effects are felt for 6 hours after it’s consumption. Keep this in mind next time you want an afternoon pickup!

Get Outside!
Daylight increases sleep efficiency! Sunlight keeps our circadian rhythm healthy. This in turn improves our levels of energy during the day and nighttime sleep quantity and quality.

We saved the best tip for last. When we sleep cool, we sleep better. By dropping our core temperature at night, we signal our brains to sleep better and more efficiently, allowing for us to sleep more deeply and wake restored and refreshed!
