WE DID IT!! @omsom has been acquired by DayDayCook! No words can quite describe how proud I am of our team and how grateful I am to every person that championed us. We did more than I could have ever imagined: sold 4.6M+ products, were named “one of the best cooking products we’ve ever tested” by CNN, landed 20B+ press impressions, grew our community to 200k+, and helped get MSG removed from Whole30’s banned ingredient list – to name a few!⁣ ⁣ When Kim and I started Omsom 5+ years ago, we felt enlivened by one wild idea: building a food brand so boldly original and so deeply born from our hearts – and that idea would go on to become Omsom. Since day 1, we centered our proud + loud ethos. Little did I know, that ethos would not only imbue my work with profound meaning, but it would also give me one of the greatest gifts of my lifetime: my voice. ⁣ ⁣ Headlines never reflect how challenging and impossible the acquisition process can feel. At times, I was deeply overwhelmed by how indebted I felt to my team. At other times, my commitment to showing up with integrity to every single person involved felt like unbearable pressure. In my lifetime, I’ve never quite been tested this much – and through this experience, I’ve learned what I’m truly capable of.⁣ ⁣ I cannot wait to see all that’s possible for Omsom in this next chapter. Through our partnership with DayDayCook, and their global portfolio of brands, we’re building the “General Mills of Asian Food.” ⁣ ⁣ As for me, I am very excited to be supporting this next chapter for Omsom as strategic advisor, and freeing up my time and energy to see what else moves me and calls me!
