PRIDE. a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired. And it should be enough just being you. Todays celebration of love and diversity has been transformed into something else by hatred. For a heterosexual man not being exposed to the everyday struggle, thoughts, or concerns carried by the LGTBQ+ community it’s still hard to fathom the anger and hatred that still exist in our society. It feels unreal and deeply unjust that hate and ignorance still can create loneliness, sadness, and fright in an ongoing positive movement og understanding. I am sorry our society still fails in creating safety and affiliation. And I’m sorry we’re not paying close enough attention to the possible and crucial threats and danger the community face in the battle against prejudices, ignorance, and hatred. Thoughts and love to the entire community, and everybody else affected. #pride #love
