My Mental Health Journey. I once heard someone say “it’s not about sharing perfection it’s about sharing your truth” Well This video is far from perfect, but it is my truth. This is me at my most vulnerable and I hope you connect with that. I really want you to know how far I’ve come but also that I go to battle with my mind quite often and find myself struggling in silence a lot more often than I’d like to admit. I have good days, I have okay days and then there are the dark days which I tried my best to share a bit of here. I really hope this video serves as a reminder that you aren’t alone in your struggle. And just because it’s not physically visible doesn’t make it any less important. I hope this reminds you that mental health effects everyone in some way shape or form. I hope this is a reminder to check in on your loved ones especially the strong ones. I hope this sparks dialogue and encourages you to open up. And I really hope it lets you know that it’s perfectly okay to ask for help and lean on your community/support system. I know I wish I did sooner. Mental health matters. Let’s keep talking about it.
