I felt weightless, surrounded by a rumbling sound like being deep underwater. It was cold, a sharp tingling sensation wrapped around me just before being thrust forward by the current. I opened my eyes, the light reflecting in from above revealed shape and color. I felt like I was in a state somewhere between sleep paralysis and an out of body experience. I remember thinking I must be in some kind of transitional realm—the part of the dream where time and space are created in the subconscious.
