Change is afoot at LVMH, where chief executive Bernard Arnault has appointed his daughter Delphine as chief executive of its second-largest brand, Dior.
Her predecessor, Pietro Beccari, who has run Dior since 2018, will become chief executive of the conglomerate's flagship brand Louis Vuitton, succeeding veteran Michael Burke, who will take up new responsibilities at the company.
The management reshuffle is part of Arnault's plan for leadership succession. Three of Bernard Arnault’s sons, Antoine, Alexandre, and Frédéric, have executive roles within the group. 'Succession planning in strategic roles has been instrumental to the success of LVMH’s key brands over the past 20 years, hence [these] management changes are significant,' says Thomas Chauvet, luxury analyst at Citi.
