I recently returned to @hironoriramen in the Bixby Knolls area of Long Beach for lunch. They’re one of my favorite ramen joints with the all of the options including the vegan one being very delicious. One of my go-to appetizers there are the pork buns, here are the details:⁣ ⁣ Pork Buns⁣ These steamed bao are stuffed with braised and marinated pork belly, hoisin sauce, and pickled onions. The end result is sweet and unctuous, balanced by the tang of the pickled onion. Meanwhile, the soft and spongey bao is the perfect vehicle to carry the rich flavors within. ⁣ ⁣ To sum up, Hironori Ramen is fire, and that includes all of their sides. Next time you’re craving ramen, head on over—and be sure to try their pork buns as well!
