5 minute appetizer! This is the appetizer you can whip up when you get surprise guests. I even made it for after school snack and my 2 kids finished a block of it in one sitting. This easy, 5 minute appetizer uses my jalapeño cranberry sauce but you can use any store bought pepper jelly. Simply place your cream cheese on a platter or plate and spread pepper jelly over top. You can even add pistachios or chopped walnuts for a crunch but we love it just like this. Jalapeño Cranberry Sauce Recipe: 16 oz cranberries ⁣ 1 Jalapeño 1 lime, juice 1 3/4 c. Sugar ⁣ 1/4 c. Rough chopped ginger ⁣⁣ 1 c. Orange juice ⁣ A pinch of salt ⁣ 1 tsp orange zest , Garnish: fresh cranberries, jalapeños, orange peel.⁣ How to make jalapeño cranberry sauce: ⁣ INSTRUCTIONS ⁣ 🍒Rinse cranberries, and place into a sauce pan. Start on low heat and when cranberries are warm, pour sugar in. Occasionally stir until sugar is melted. ⁣ 🍋 Squeeze lime juice into sauce, add pinch of salt. ⁣ 🍊In a blender, pour oj, (I fresh squeezed mine but you can use store bought), ginger and stemmed jalapeño.⁣( add extra jalapeños for spice) ⁣ 🫕 Strain the juice into the saucepan. Continue to Simmer on low until sugar is melted. 💢Spoon out three large serving spoons of the sauce and blend smooth. Place back into sauce in pan and incorporate with the rest of sauce. (This gave the sauce texture: smooth with some cranberry pieces. You may use an immersion blender but after trying it, I preferred the half blended method.)⁣ ⁣⁣ 🌶Garnish with orange zest, fresh cranberries, fresh jalapeños.
