As we celebrate Labor Day, let us not forget the hundreds of thousands of incarcerated workers who will likely never have the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of their own labor.⁣ ⁣ To the firefighters in Georgia who respond to 3,000 calls a year for no pay, to the workers repairing our roads and harvesting our crops, to the cooks, dishwashers, plumbers, and all incarcerated workers, we see you, we thank you, and we know you deserve better.
