Thank you @derwentlondon for this fantastic documentary film that covers the engineering feat that is MUDSKIPPER. A sculpture that has a special place for Derwentt because of its family ties with the TREAD PAD sculptures hanging in their building most influenced by engineering. The @brunel_building in Paddington. Simon Silver at a certain point in the journey of creation of MUDSKIPPER made a critical decision in purchasing three drawings of the sculpture for the Brunel Building to go with the TREAD PADS, that helped me cross the line in covering engineering costs required to license the sculpture to operate on London Thames. The collaborations with Derwent went further than the commission of the TREAD PADS. They also commissioned this fantastic film from Climber. It was a great pleasure to work with @patrickmburrows @sisilverware @rllesser and the Derwentt team on this iconic body of work. MUDSKIPPER is co-commissioned in partnership with Battersea Power Station, Nine Elms on the South Bank, the Royal Docks Team and is produced by Illuminate Productions. The project is supported by Albion Barn, Arts Council England, Hannah Barry Gallery, Rothschild Foundation and Perkins Engines, with the additional support from the Science Museum Group, Derwentt London and RoDMA (Royal Docks Management Authority)
