Recently someone referred to me as a “content creator”. I’m not gunna lie, that felt weird. Mostly because I’m old and uncool, but also the word content just sounds a little disposable to me. Something you pause and look at briefly then keep on scrolling. Nothing wrong with that, I enjoy some mindless phone zombie time myself. So props to all y’all content creators out there, especially if you make funny cat videos. ⁣ ⁣ But when I’m out shooting, my primary motivation is creating an image that someone, somewhere is amped to print. Maybe a magazine (shoutout to the legends that are left), maybe someone who loves that particular spot or best of all, maybe I’ll print it for my own wall at home.
