They say the days go by slow, but the years go by fast. Reflecting upon the last 20 years of baseball, friendships, and memories, I can’t help but realize the profound truth of this statement. Amidst a muddle of emotion, I am reminded of the many things baseball has given me. I am reminded of my younger self, who had no greater love than to swing a bat and throw a ball. I am reminded of the love and friendships that have produced bonds that will last a lifetime. And I also remember a kid whose only dream was to play baseball at Baylor. At the end of the day, it’s the friendships and experiences that give life its luster. Thank you, baseball, for giving that to me. Sic ‘Em
