A long run midweek? Groundbreaking 🫠
If you missed my ultimate freak out a couple weeks ago 😂, I’m officially training for @nycmarathon! (Like...WHAT that still sounds so CRAZY to me!!!)
It’s my dream race that I spent months efforting to get a spot. That moment finally happened with only about 2-ish months to prepare. It will be marathon #3 for me and the shortest build up yet! 😬
Summer running was honestly a drag without much of a motivator while my fall marathon plans were unknown. I was “pseudo training”, but constantly on the fence about whether I’d even race this upcoming season. Now that I’ve got my eye on a start/finish line, training is FUN (but hard and a little scary!).
With just about 8 weeks to go, my only goals are to have fun and complete the marathon healthy and happy. Running has never really been about performance for me, but how it makes me feel and makes me a better Ciara with every finish line I cross.
I’ve got an “express” marathon training plan that will test my strength. And a kickass coach who I trust will get me there (hi @connectwithbs 🤗)
Looking this latest challenge in the eye and saying, “Let’s. Do. This!” 💪🏾
