Tomorrow in Chelsea 🍵 Join us tomorrow, Thursday, January 12, 6–8 PM at our New York gallery to celebrate the opening of Robin Rhode’s new exhibition, ‘African Dream Root’. At the opening, we’re serving buchu tea which @RobinRhodeOfficial has procured from his native South Africa. The region’s indigenous people have historically used the herb buchu as a general tonic and stomach soother. In his new work ‘Buchu’, Rhode abstractly interprets the flower, invoking the timeless value and effect of nature in healing. On view through February 11, ‘African Dream Root’ features new photographs, sculptures, and wall paintings inspired by the artist’s intensive research into visual and oral traditions of storytelling in Southern Africa.
