I wanted to share my review of the gorgeous Love & Other Dramas by @ronalicollings today. 🌷 Swipe right for synopsis. 🌷 This was perhaps the most beautiful and heartwarming debut I've ever read. Ronali has a really accomplished writing style that if I hadn't known this was a debut, I never would have guessed. The book follows three women - each every different and at different crossroads in their lives - but Ronali effortlessly blends their storylines together. The book is full of humour but real issues are tackled. Race is at its heart and Ronali's voice - and experience - shines through. I discovered so much about Sri Lankan culture. Each character is relatable in some form - each has their own flaws and imperfections - and they are drawn in such a way that you are immediately invested in them. It is a story of family, self-discovery, friendship, race, being a woman and navigating the modern-world, being a wife and mother, and love. It was a total joy and I highly recommend you go out and read it. Not just because it's a wonderful book (it really is) but Ronali truly is one of the loveliest people on social media (and not just because she told me yesterday she thought I was in my mid-twenties when I'm actually in my late-thirties. And she's seen my haggard face in real life! 😂) This book deserves all the support and all the praise ❤️ Love & Other Dramas is out now.
